That's out of character for them. I've been there many times and haven't had any issues. Maybe they were having an off day...
Such a cute place. The people were so friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Very good food and clean place.
This is a must stop if you love Thai food. Staff is friendly and efficient. The food is amazing! We are vegan and come here whenever we are in Savannah. They have vegan and omni food. The curries are fantastic! Very flavorful. Nice portions.
Very good food will be back
I love this place! Quick service.. nice ambiance and yum food. I am vegetarian and I love their thai ginger. It is so delicious with black rice.
Great food, friendly service, welcoming atmosphere. It will definitely be a place we visit again.
The server was wonderful the food was great. This place is a favourite of my daughters for sushi. She loves the window seat where she can watch people go by. A regular spot for our nights out.
WARNINGThe Pad Thai is NOT, and I repeat NOT made with peanut sauce, so if you are expecting a normal tasting Pad Thai go somewhere else
What to say about Ruan Thai Cuisine Savannah?Great decor and spacious restaurant with many seating options. The Panang Curry was great, as wa scv the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango, both very authentic dishes. The server was great and let us seat and dine inside even though it was 30 minutes until closing. Highly recommend it!
The food is good but the summer rolls are a bit bland and the curry dishes are missing a little bit of spice and depth. A plus on plating and presentation though. The service was a bit lacking as the waitress kept forgetting about our table. Overall I'd go again to give them another chance. 3.5 stars.
My wife and I enjoyed an early Lunch, seated up front by the windows where we could people watch. We started with a deep fried sushi roll and crunch spring rolls, both were crunchy and delectable. We then both had Tom Kha soup, with your choice of heat intensity (mild-medium-hot), a nice perk since our local Thai cuisine doesn’t alter the heat in their Tom Kha. FYI-Soups are available with tofo/meat options no listed vegetable option, but if you are interested just ask for no meat. To finish, and since this was our first visit, we selected the Pad Thai staple, medium heat. The waitress confirmed we had no peanut allergies and asked how we wanted the peanuts incorporated (mixed or on the side). The dish tasted great, only comments is the bean sprouts were a little larger than normal, which I do not mind, but my wife prefers smaller sprouts-just another FYI. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Absolutely love this place. First time and I absolutely loved the food. The sushi is amazing, the springs rolls as well as the calamaris
I have had better Thai food. And food is sweet despite the fact we ordered spiciest possible. But waitresses very nice and friendly.
We went on Christmas day so it was busy but food was great and didnt take as long as I'd thought to get.
I had called Ruan Thai 5 times to place a pick up order. My first call was at 8:45pm and my last call was 9:14pm. I eventually gave up because they would not pick up the phone and decided to order delivery through DoorDash since I would no longer have time to pick up since they did not answer the phone at 8:45 when I first initially called. After 10 mins of THINKING I was going to have food before work I got an email saying the order was canceled. I called once again stupidly thinking they would answer the phone so I could fix the problem. Yet again, no response. I’ve never had an issue with them before but this is just pathetic on their end.
Hubby had the whole red snapper which he loved. I had the Thai Garlic Lovers chicken which was ok. It was a little dry and could have used more garlic but I love garlic!!! The spring rolls were wonderful! I wish I'd gotten a second order as my entree!!!
This is one of my favorite restaurant's in Savannah, I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried there. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. They have a nice variety of Thai food and you can get whatever level of spice you like. The yellow curry with shrimp is my go to dish. The atmosphere is pleasant and they have outside seating as well. If you are in the mood for some delicious Thai food I recommend going to Ruan.
Awesome food and service!
This place was really nice. We decided to stop in Savannah for a day and got recommended this place. The food was delicious. The service was excellent.
Great customer service. Everything is too sweet. We ordered pad thai, drunken noodles, papaya salad, they are all too sweet.
My experiences with Ruan Thai have been wonderful. The customer service is wonderful and the sushi options I have tried so far, specifically the Dynamite Roll, Las Vegas Roll, and Ruan Thai Roll, are beautifully presented and taste amazing!
Wow! Just wow! I had visited this place for the first time because of a Groupon I purchased. It was very impressive. Love the menu selection, and the food just tastes soooo good! It can get a little expensive, but it is well worth it! The presentation and service is on point!
We had lunch here on 6/3/19. We have been all over the country eating Thai food and this place is simply FANTASTIC! We had the Drunken Noodles with Tofu and the Salmon with Cashew Sauce with Thai Iced Tea. We were very impressed with every aspect of this restaurant! The food was delicious! We loved the combination of the spices and the overall flavors of both dishes. (We ordered both dishes at a medium spice level, which had a little heat but was not overpowering.) The atmosphere of the restaurant is five star as well! Our waitress was from Thailand and she was fantastic! We love good Thai food and we critique Thai restaurants very thoroughly. We left this place very happy! Also, I couldn't believe how inexpensive the prices are! The portions are BIG also no matter if you get the lunch special or not. We were so pleased that we left her a 40% tip! We will be coming back here this week and the next time we are in Savannah, which will be within a few months.
Came on Saturday, they were open at 4PM, booth service was fast and pleasant. A tad pricey, but good nonetheless.
Ruan is hands down the absolute best Thai food you will find in and around Savannah! The restaurant is in a great location with plenty of seating inside. The decor is gorgeous and the service is fantastic. The chicken satay and flash fried duck are most tries here. And save room for the fried ice cream.
Great food and a very reasonable price. The staff were particularly friendly. I recommend the green curry.
Awesome food and super friendly staff
In the beginning of our meal we thought the place was great! It had a nice atmosphere and our appetizers (pot stickers & spring rolls) as well as the Thai Iced coffee was delicious! We both ordered noodles which were less good. It didn't taste fresh.
Cozy place, a couple blocks from jonhson square and Bay St. Shrimp Salad and chicken satay are recommended.
Have pasted, this place many times, never thought of going in, knew Thai cooking consist of Peanut Oil, in most of their cooking. Am allergic to nuts so just didn't go in. Have some relatives visiting from the big city, New York. and they wanted Thai food, so we went in, they accommodated me and explain what wad used in the dishes. I would return again. All the dishes were delicious, staff very accommodating, Helpful with the children and with lots of patience. Clean, peaceful atmosphere.
The food was fantastic and the service was even better. Real authentic feeling Thai restaurant with some very original menu items and a very bubbly and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Excellent service, the wait staff was so attentive and nice! The food was very flavorful and not too spicy. I had the chicken pad thai, I liked that they put the peanuts on the side so I could choose how much to put in.
Nice area, food is way too sweet.
What a gem of a find!! I did not expect their bubble tea to be so fantastic - Thai iced tea, not too sweet but so so good. My face lit up with this beautiful and unexpected presentation of the mussaman curry. It was so tasty.
Food was great from appetizers to desserts and great service to match!
Amazing Food, Great atmosphere, Affordable prices!!! LOVED it, Great Thai is so hard to find. 😍
So we came here because of the 1 hour wait list 2 doors down. We like Thai food, so we didnt mind the change since we were so hungry. We were greeted and sat right away. Waitress gave her speech on the special for the night and we were sold. We asked for extra rice with the fish special and ordered drunken noodles. Red snapper came, fried and small in size for a snapper, bland flavors for thai food, no extra rice came. Drunken noodles was dry and we thought it was chicken but seems more like mystery meat. I dont mind paying for good food but $28 for a whole fish that is smaller than a foot is a disgrace. We ate and made do of the situation but this food is nowhere close to good Thai restaurants that we have frequented.
The food was amazing. With my mom being from Thailand couldn't ask for anything else better.. Service was great also. Come two days in a row. And most likely coming for day three
The food here is good I always wanted to eat here five star
I must say I was a bit disappointed after reading the reviews then trying this place. The service was not good. Our server took our drink order and food order because we were ready by the time he stopped by. All we wanted was water and he just didn’t make it back. Finally someone else noticed we had been there a while with no drinks and brought us some water. It took forever to get the appetizer and longer for the main course. The fresh lettuce spring rolls, were great. Nice fresh ingredients with a flavorful sauce. The Thai basil chicken, was good. Not the best I have had and not the worse. The sushi rolls were made well and tasted good. But the miso soup, tasted like it came from a cheap packet. And the drunken noodles, way over cooked and not very good with no spice when ordered at medium.
Great customer service, atmosphere, and a decent amount of vegan options. The food quality was good as well.
The food and service were both exceptional! The bubble tea tasted fresh from Thailand and the food was phenomenal. You can pick any spice level you like, and order from the kids menu for smaller portions no matter what age. Even with kids menu, the presentation was beautiful! Rice for the curry was shaped in a heart, vegetables were sliced thinly and piled on top of the meal. They even had a spice rack they could deliver to the table with three choices of topping. A chilli sauce, a chilli powder, and a fish sauce garlic and chilli topping. The servers were wonderful and polite and very accommodating. I am not from Savannah, or else I would be sure to come here again! Highly suggest
Waiter was very efficient and friendly. Food was good, tried something I wouldn't necessarily have without encouragement from waiter. Good downtown location
Great food at a low price. The fried ice cream is unique.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Ruan Thai Cuisine tonight. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the coconut soup, the combination appetizers, and the mango with sticky rice! Our waitress, Brandy, was very nice & helpful. Highly recommend!
When in Savanah this place is a must. Great food. Awesome staff. Next time we visit this will be our place to eat.
This place is so good I couldn't stop to take a photo first. Great presentation and atmosphere. Perfect stop for steak, Thai, and Sushi. You will love it.
Food was nicely prepared, food was vary tasty ,all I can say is perfect, definitely will come back here again.👍🏽
